Submission

Faculties, departments, staff and students are welcome to share news and activities on the UMTV. Submissions can be in multimedia format, such as videos and photographs.
 
Step 1​: 
Fill in the above form. Please provide detailed information and the file name.

Step 2:
Go to UM File Share and Click 'UMTV submission' folder. 

Step 3:
Upload the file from your computer.
 


Step 4:
Your submission is successful when you see  'Upload Completed'. 



Step 5:
Once your submission is accepted, it will be included in the programme schedule. Your content will then be broadcast on the UMTV throughout the campus.

Submitter Agreement
  • The submitter is solely responsible for all the submissions and the consequences that might arise from the posting or publishing thereof. The submitter guarantees that he/she is authorised to use the content.
  • The submitter agrees that the UMTV may keep copies of the submissions for archival or sharing purposes via UM's official social media. 
  • The submitter agrees not to submit content that violates any copyright, trademark, trade secret, privacy, or right of publicity of any third parties or other intellectual property.T
  • he submitter agrees the submissions will not contain any disgusting, indecent, immoral or illegal content, or offensive material or message related to race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or age.
  • The submitter agress that the UMTV reserves the right to decide whether to post the submissions and the right to remove the content at any time without prior notification.

Reasons for Rejection
  • Too low in resolution.
  • Deficient sound quality or at an unacceptable sound level.
  • An unsupported format.
  • Apparent misuse of copyrighted material or other violation of third-party rights.
  • Non-compliance with the terms of use of the UMTV.
 
Third-party Websites
Real-time news and third-party websites that are contained in links with the UMTV are not owned or controlled by the UMTV. The UMTV is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of these third-party websites.
Working Group Members
 
Working group members include:
  • Communications Office, which is responsible for layout design, scheduling, programming, and collecting and editing the submissions from faculty and staff. It also leads UM Reporters in producing news videos and various programmes designed to promote UM to a wider audience.
  • Student Affairs Office, which is responsible for collecting submissions from students and the Students' Union.
  • Information and Communication Technology Office, which provides complete technical support to the project.
